Pete Steinke, age 68, a resident of Rogers since 1979, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his home in Rogers. Pete was born in Chisholm, Minnesota on October 14, 1943 to Walter and Adeline (Wincensen) Steinke. On May 1, 1965 he married Gerry (Berch) Steinke and they were married for over 46 years before Gerry's death in 2011. Pete enjoyed traveling and the outdoors, hunting, camping, and boating. He loved his family very much and he will be missed. Preceded in death by his wife, Gerry; his parents; two brothers, Jim and Bob Steinke; Pete is survived by three daughters, Lisa Steinke of Rogers; Tina Solgere and husband Jeff of Bella Vista; Eva Archer and her partner Tim Morrisroe of Michigan City, Indiana; one brother, Jack Steinke and wife Arlene of International Falls, Canada; four grandchildren, Lynne, Taylor; Nick, and Molly; one great granddaughter, Olivia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Benton County Memorial Park's Funeral Home Chapel (3800 W. Walnut-Rogers, AR 72758).
