Phillip Winfred Russell was born in Bronxville, New York on May 16, 1925 to Ellen and Kenneth G. Russell and lived in Bronxville until moving to Irvington, New York where he worked for the Kaiser-Roth Hosiery company for over 30 years. Phil retired in 1990 and moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas with his wife of over 40 years, Barbara (Bobbie) Russell (formerly Barbara Tasley). In retirement , Phil sold real estate and as he had done throughout his life, enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. Phil was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie, his daughters, Sandra Lyn Russell, Wendy Ward Russell and Janie Russell. Surviving family members are his son, Phillip Russell Jr., daughter, Adele (DeeDee) Clinton and grandchildren, Bryson Bell, Elizabeth Russell, Teresa Lamb and Lauren Russell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, attention Tammy Mostyn, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, Ar. 72762. A memorial to celebrate Phil's life will be held at Bella Vista Community Church, 75 East Lancashire Boulevard, Bella Vista on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M.
