IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Francis
Paine
August 23, 1953 – March 7, 2024
Richard 'Rick' Francis Paine I of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away March 7th, 2024, at home. He was born August 23rd, 1953, to the late, Edwin and Sarah Paine, in Memphis Tennessee. Rick was a graduate from Memphis State University, where he played Clarinet and schooled several of his friends on the racquetball courts. He loved his Harley, and rode that thing for over 50 years. He took it on so many adventures, even from here to Paris, Texas to be part of the Guinness World Record for most road motorcycles. He was truly a Redneck Rider, and he had visited all 50 states, not a small task at all. But even more impressive, is his family, he raised three sons, all of whom were so proud of him for being such an amazing father. He was a man with a lot of passion and drive, always taking every opportunity to experience life to its fullest. It didn't matter what his friends were up to, either water skiing, or fishing for trout, Rick was right there with them. He later met Sharmaine Barker, and fell for her right away. He was telling his sons that he had fallen in love within the first week of meeting her. They've been married for over 10 years, and they spent every moment truly living life. Rick knew all the history there was to know about any given place. He never needed a map; he was the best navigator to have on any trip, and could keep you entertained with stories and facts for hours. Rick had truly amazing zest for life, he was a loyal friend, and an even better father. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Rick is survived by his wife, Shar, of the home; son, John Paine, wife, Dominique, and their daughter Eden, of Bethel Heights, Arkansas; son, Daniel Paine, wife, Chelsea, and their children, Teagan, Daxton, and Everly, of Shawnee, Kansas; son, Ricky Paine, of Rogers, Arkansas; brother, Allen Paine and wife, Jan, of Cypress, Texas; cousin, Barbara Dawson, of Germantown, Tennessee; friend, Tim Taylor, and wife, Lisa, of Benton, Arkansas; friend, Steve Hill, and wife, Mary Lynn, of Bentonville, Arkansas; friend, Michael Hillyer, and wife, Maria, of Bentonville, Arkansas; and many other family, friends, and loved ones.
Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 am Saturday, March 16th, at Benton County Memorial Park, 3800 W Walnut, Rogers, Arkansas 72756.
A small private gathering for close friends and family will follow the service, at the Paine home, 1601 Signature Dr. Bentonville, Arkansas.
Rick will be laid to rest at one of his favorite places, Beartooth Pass in Montana.
