Richard Dale "Dick" Smith, age 74 of Springdale and formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away December 31, 2017. Dick was born February 11, 1943 in Mulberry, Indiana to parents Homer and Blanche Smith. He worked as a machinist and also as a firefighter and paramedic. Dick enjoyed bowling and swimming. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Dick is survived by his wife, Fran of the home; son, Richard Dale Smith II; daughters, Sandra and husband Rick Brown, Susan and husband Bill Byrn, Brenda and Fiancee Mark Sunkel, Melissa Brown, Pamela Brown, Haley Gammon; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
