Ricky Joe Black Sr., 65, of Lowell, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Born on September 4, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Shorty Black and Alice Kay Novotny.
Ricky was an accomplished individual, holding an associate's degree and serving many years in the food service industry as a restaurant manager. He also served his country with honor during his time in the US Army.
Ricky was more than just a husband and father; he was the rock of his family, always there with a joke to lift spirits or a prank to bring laughter. His infectious humor and warm heart made him beloved by all who knew him. Ricky cherished family above all else and was unwavering in his dedication to their happiness. In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by Cindy Black, and Michelle Smith. Ricky leaves behind a legacy of love through his nine children and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers and two sisters, who will forever hold his memory dear.
Memorial Services for Ricky will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 409 Johnson Ave, Lowell, AR 72745.
