Robert Lee Scott, 70, of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on February 1, 2024. He was born on March 25, 1953, in Buckeye, Arizona, to the late Billy and Alta Scott. Robert was a father of four, each of whom has an abundance of one-of-a-kind memories of him that will never be forgotten. Mr. Scott was a lifetime member and trustee at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8380 in Grove, Oklahoma. Robert had a skill for gunsmithing and enjoyed repairing damaged firearms for the community as well as building precision rifles. He had a passion for the outdoors, which included shooting, fishing, and hunting. Robert loved animals, from his Maine coon, Rudy, to his pet possum named Opal; he loved the animals he spontaneously adopted, who became part of the family. Along with his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his brother, William Donald Scott.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: two daughters, Jennifer Salvatierra and husband, Javier, of Hillsboro, Oregon, Rachelle Welch and husband, Frank, of Manteca, California; two sons, Robert Scott Jr. and wife Amanda of Fernley, Nevada, Neal Hendrix and wife Ashley-Rae of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Genevieve Salvatierra-Asiri, Cristian Salvatierra, Austin Welch, Tyler Welch, Jacob Welch, Kori Scott, Regan Scott, Shane Scott, Hunter Hendrix, Kade Hendrix, Cash Hendrix; brother, Kenneth Scott; sister, Loretta Warmerdam, and many other beloved family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at V.F.W. Post #1051, 12455 W. Ripon Rd, Ripon, California 95366, (209) 599-6815.
