Dr. Ronald Eugene Shaw Sr., 92, of Rogers, died Sept.11,2020, in Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born on Feb. 6, 1928, in Ottumwa Ia. to Lyle Shaw and Dorothy Brackney. He is proceeded in death by sons Kenneth, Ronald Jr., Thomas, daughter Kathleen and grand-son Christopher Freeman. He is survived by his companion of many years, Colleen Hamling, son Michael Shaw (Pam), daughter Rebecca Schnitzer, daughter-in-law Lee Shaw, Carol Creswell (Curtis), Linda Soboj (Dennis), Cheryl Grober, and Layla. His grand-children include; Melissa Ingram (Matt), Mindy Shaw, Andrea Schnitzer, Aaron Shaw, Josh Schnitzer, Lacey Anderson (Scott) , Jeramiah Rounds, Kasey O'Brien. Brian Hartmann, Emily Hartmann, Paula Reed, Dustin Grober, Christopher Creswell, and Christina Creswell. He had 17 great grand-children and 1 great great grand-child He worked in the family heating business, Brackney Tin Shop, until age 30 when he decided to go to college. He loaded up his four children, wife and dog Snooky and moved from Oskaloosa, Ia. To Davenport, Ia. to start Chiropractic College. After he graduated from school he loaded up his five children, wife and dog Snooky and moved to Rogers where he had one more child and numerous dogs. He set up his Chiropractic office in Rogers in 1962 and practiced right up to his death. He was a musician in his youth and played the drums in the Big Band era where he earned the Nickname "Artie." He was a friend to everyone he met. The family will have a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send donation to ALS.org
