Rose Hill, age 97 of Rogers and formerly of Elk City, Oklahoma, passed away July 22, 2011. Rose was born April 30, 1914 at Blue Mountain, Arkansas to parents Joseph Edward Vaughn and Nellie Mae Forman Vaughn. She was united in marriage to Quint Taylor Penick on February 6, 1935 at Cordell, Oklahoma. Quint preceded her in death in November of 1947. Rose later met Jack Hill and was married on October 15, 1950. They enjoyed many years together. Rose was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Rose was preceded by her first husband, Quint, in 1947; her husband Jack, in 2003; her parents; four brothers, Avner, Luther, Marvin and J.E. Vaughn and two grandchildren, Susan Young and Scott Penick. She is survived by her sons, Ronald Penick and wife Connie of Dodge City, Kansas, Travis Penick and wife Phyllis of Rogers, Troy Penick and wife Barbara of Rogers; daughters, Lynda Young and husband Charles of Broken Arrow and Lynette Jones of Broken Arrow; brother, Eulen Vaughn of Waco, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services are set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Faith Christian Fellowship, 1221 East New Hope in Rogers.
