Russell Louis Powell, age 54 of Bella Vista, passed away June 5, 2014. Russell was born October 2, 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa to parents Louis Arnold Powell and Patricia Wynn Powell. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ellen Moss on August 21, 1982 in Los Alamitos, California. They enjoyed over thirty one years of marriage together. Russell worked mainly as a toolmaker and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a great home life and was known for his outgoing sense of humor. Russell was preceded in death by his father, Louis Arnold Powell and a nephew and niece, David Violette Jr. and Brenda Violette. Russell is survived by his wife, Barbara Powell of Bella Vista; son, Jeffrey Powell of Fayetteville; daughter, Evelyn Powell Garcia and husband Geo of Fayetteville; mother, Patricia Smith of Grand Terrace, California; granddaughter, Sophie Garcia of Fayetteville; brothers, Arnold Powell and wife Helen of New Jersey and Ron Powell and wife Grant of Arkansas; sisters, Roxane Violette and husband David of Arkansas and Rhonda Frischman and husband Byron of Arkansas. Russell is also survived by one aunt and uncle, Marv and Janice Paulson of Iowa and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Memorial Services are set for 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 502 West Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas, 72715.
