Obituary

Sharon (Otto) Frink passed away in Bentonville, AR on January 19th, With her husband and sons by her side. She was 72 years of age.

Shari was born January 3rd, 1950, in Burwell, Nebraska to Leonard and Loraine Otto. At the time her family lived near Sioux Creek, she grew up in and around Burwell, graduating from Burwell High School in 1968. Following graduation, she attended Kearney State College (now the University of Nebraska at Kearney) where she met and fell in love with Roger Frink, her husband of over 51 years. They were married August 17, 1970, in the Burwell United Methodist Church. They had two sons, Walker born in 1975 and Wade born in 1978.

She returned to school at Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and graduated with honors. She began her career working as a Diet Technician in several nursing homes in the Lincoln area. She enjoyed camping and being outside and she loved her flowers and vegetable garden. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and bragged about them any chance she could.

In 1979 Shari became a charter member of the United Nebraska Muzzleloaders Association. She also served as a Cub Scout leader for her sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard Otto and Loraine (Lindsay) Otto. She is survived by her husband Roger, two sons, Walker and Wade. Three grandchildren Ashley (25), Kasey (15) and Beckett (10). She is also survived by one sister, Doris Morris and husband Steve of Burwell, and two brothers Don and wife Sylvia of Fort Worth, Texas and Dave of Burwell.

Shari was a sweet and kind person with many friends. She had the strength to fight off cancer twice. Through her bright smile you could always see her courage and warmth.

Services will be held Saturday, March 26th at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1621 Superior St., Lincoln, Nebraska. 68521 at 1:00 pm.
