Sherry J Payne was born April 15th 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia and passed away in Springdale, Arkansas July 17th 2017. Sherry retired after 30 years from the Floor Covering Industry in San Diego California where she raised her four children. She volunteered her time to Women In Need, working tirelessly at shelters and on call lines. A favorite afternoon was spent picnicking with her family at Mission Bay or playing her winning streak at the Casinos. Always a safe bet she would spend every penny on her grandkids. After retiring she moved to Pennsylvania to help raise her youngest grandchildren. Always up for a spirited political debate, Sherry was also an avid reader and consumed large volumes of historically based novel series. Living in Arkansas only a year, with her youngest son, she enjoyed the landscape and kindness of the people which made her feel right at home. Sherry loved her family fiercely and unconditionally, known as Mom-mom to her 6 grandchildren whom she loved and supported with everything she had. Forever remembered as gracious and kind, she is loved and will be dearly missed everyday by her family and friends. Per Sherry's wishes a celebration of life will be held in her honor on her 75th birthday.
