Shirley J. (Lee) Anthony, 74 years old, passed away December 17, 2014 after her valiant fight with ovarian cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through months of grueling chemotherapy. Throughout her own struggles with cancer, she reached out to others affected by cancer by crocheting and donating hats and blankets, and comforting others sitting nearby with her contagious smile, her faith in the lord and entertaining sense of humor. She worked as a bookkeeper for Tim Starner's tax service until her retirement in 2011. Shirley enjoyed writing and was a correspondent for the Pea Ridge Times. Shirley was born December 24,1939 in Booneville Indiana to parents Leonard& Frances(Sharp) Lee. She is survived by a son D'wayne & (Cindy) Anthony of Pea Ridge; daughter Sheryl & (Shawn) Brannum of Pea Ridge; grandchildren, Eric (Moriah) Anthony Jase (Kati) Sharp, Jessica (Dakota) McCullum, Jennifer Anthony, Amber McNair; great grandchildren, Wesley; Braylee and Kelsey; brother, Oral "Bud" (Shirley) Lee of Oakland, Ca. and sisters in law, Nancy Lee and Betty Lee of Boonville IN. She was preceded in death by sister , Joyce (Lee) Smith; brothers, Leonard "Nip" Lee and Larry Lee all of Boonville, IN. Visitation will be at The Community Ridge Church in Pea Ridge on Friday, December 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. The funeral will be held at The Community RIdge Church in Pea Ridge on Saturday, December 20 at 2:00 PM. There will be no graveside service.
