Shirley Lynn Barnett, age 74, a resident of Rose, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, May10, 2011 at the Monroe Manor in Jay, Oklahoma. Shirley was born in Mitchell County Texas on January 31, 1937. She enjoyed canning, gardening, cooking, and being a mom and taking care of her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Virgil William Barnett, Sr. and her parents, Jim Tom and Winnie Ruth (Lewis) Moore and her son, Virgil William Barnett, Jr. ; Shirley is survived by one son, David Lee Barnett of Rose, Oklahoma; two daughters, Virgie Barnett and Cathi Barnett both of Kansas, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Angela Mart and husband Joseph of Kansas, Oklahoma; Lisa Wernimont of Kansas, Oklahoma; Billy Robohm of Texas; Chantel Rupe of California; Joshua Barnett of Alaska; seven great grandchildren, Chance Wernimont of Kansas, Oklahoma; Anton Mart of Kansas, Oklahoma; Brennan Mart of Kansas, Oklahoma; Javen Mart of Kansas, Oklahoma; Taylen Mart of Kansas, Oklahoma; Breathlynn Mart of Kansas, Oklahoma; Mattley Rupe of California; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorial services will be at a later date.
