Mrs. Sonya Knight (Davis) died peacefully on December 27, 2014 in Fayetteville, AR at the age of 44 after a battle with cancer. Sonya is survived by her mother, Bobbie Wahler of Flippin, AR; husband, Josh Purcell of Prairie Grove, AR; son, Michael and Chynell Hudson of Harrison, AR; sisters, Lori Davis and family of Green Forest, AR and Mandy Myers and family of Edwards, MO; She is preceded in death by her grandparents Hobart and Mary Davis of Harrison, AR, Jesse Thomas "JT" and Verna Gass of Harrison; father, Jimmy "Red" Davis of Harrison, AR and stepfather, John "BJ" Wahler of Bull Shoals, AR Sonya was born on March 19th, 1970 in Bakersfield, CA. After dating Josh for five years, they married in 2013. She was a graduate of Northwest Arkansas Community College in 2013 with an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice. Sonya worked for Walmart in Asset protection. Her dedication was a driving factor to excel in all that she did. She was a generous and caring individual who loved animals, especially dogs. Her passion for saving them lead to many rescues and fosters. No funeral is planned this time, since her wishes were to be cremated and then spread privately. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Humane Society of the United States or any animal rescue organization.
