Stephen Layfayette (Perry) Hampton passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at his home near Winslow. Stephen was born at Sunset Mtn near Winslow on June 17, 1949. He married Jackie Louise Campbell on November 11, 1967. He worked at various occupations including mechanic, welder, and cabinet maker. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, his daughter, Cynthia May Leonard of Winslow, 4 grandchildren: Matthew Layfayette Leonard of Bentonville, Amanda Louise Graham of Winslow, Eddie David Leonard of Fayetteville, Jessie McKenly Leonard of Winslow, 3 great grandchildren: David Graham, Sky Dawn, and Zoey Jacobs; five brothers, David Perry; Eddie Perry; Phillip Henson; Dale Henson; Mark Henson; seven sisters, Linda Campbell; Marcella Campbell; Charlotte Kohley; Mary Sampsel; Marilyn Herrin; Ocie Ann Perry; Dovie Ruth Campbell; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. A memorial service will be held at the Brentwood Hill Top Chapel Seventh-day Adventist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012.
