Obituary

Stephen Storer, age 50, of Rogers, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice in Bentonville. Stephen was born in Jamaica, Long Island, New York on January 4, 1962. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Dost) Storer of Rogers; and his birth father, Leonard Frosina of New York; his son, Samuel Stephen Storer of Trenton, Missouri. He is also survived by his siblings, Eugene Storer, Susan Hill, Diane Pierce, and Gil Storer. He is preceded in death by his adopted father, Gil Collins Storer and one sister, Sandra Faulkenbury. Stephen was on the wrestling team at Wilson Floyd School in Mastic Beach, Long Island and was in the graduating class of Rogers High School, 1981. Stephen loved to work on cars and ride motorcycles. He was a free spirit who was kind to everybody. He was a hard worker and was known by his fellow employees as "Junk Yard Dog" at Temple Iron and Metal where he was a crane operator. He was a beloved uncle to Kayleigh, Stefani, and Tyanna as well as other nieces and nephews. Following a motorcycle accident in Temple, Texas in 1987, he suffered a head injury that left him disabled. He received excellent care at New Hope Health and Rehabilitation where he resided for 20 years and his favorite nurse was Amanda. The family would like to say thank you for the compassionate staff at Jamestown Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rogers, Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, and the Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice Care in Bentonville. Walnut) in Rogers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice in Bentonville at www.nwacircleoflife.com in honor of Stephen Storer.
