Steven Matthew "Matt" Brace of Rogers, Ark., 53, passed away December 20, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father Lester Brace, his mother Lucretia Curnutt McConnell, and a brother, Michael Brace, all of Rogers. He is survived by his stepmother Debbie Brace of Rogers, three brothers, Tim Brace and his wife Alana of Rogers, Kevin Brace and his wife Sharla of Rogers, Jeff Brace of Seligman, MO, and a sister, Rachel Brace Ramos and her husband Roger of Rogers, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Rogers High School, Class of 1987.

Matt enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, trivia game shows, and sports—playing them in his younger years and also watching games with friends and family. Matt was a very generous person; he'd give you the shirt off his back without hesitation and he was always ready to help anyone who needed it. He was a dog person, but all animals loved Matt.

Matt was well-known for his talent for cooking. He worked at several local restaurants from diners to fine dining. If you're reading this and have lived in Rogers or even Gravette for some time, it's highly likely you've eaten food cooked by him.
