Steven Ray Talbot, age 54 of Rogers and formerly of Wayne, Oklahoma, passed away July 4, 2011. Steve was born January 3, 1958 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to parents James Earl Talbot and Ruth Clark Talbot. As a young man, Steve joined the United States Army, serving one enlistment as an aircraft mechanic. Steve was united in marriage to Peggy Hollaway on April 1, 1988 in Wayne, Oklahoma. In 2000 Steve and Peggy moved to the Rogers area. They enjoyed many years of marriage. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Clark Talbot. He is survived by wife, Peggy Talbot of Rogers; father, James Earl Talbot of Kansas City; sons, Joey Carpenter and wife Emily of Rogers, Darrell Carpenter and wife Lish of Rogers, Steven Talbot of Rogers; brothers, Jim Talbot of Grove, Oklahoma and Kevin Talbot of Kansas City; sisters, Barb Horn of Miami, Oklahoma and Karen Franks of Kansas City; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 W.Walnut, Rogers.
