Verl Lee Shepherd, Sr., age 74 of Neosho, Missouri passed away on January 23, 2023. He was born on April 12, 1948 in Mulberry, Arkansas to William Harrison Shepherd and Bonnie June Moon Shepherd. On August 15, 1969, he married Monna Shepherd in Junction City, Kansas. Mr. Shepherd worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction with his father and an over the road truckdriver. He enjoyed motorcycles, traveling to Daytona, Sturgis, Colorado and working on cars. Verl was preceded in death by his father, William  Harrison Shepherd.

He is survived by his mother, Bonnie June Moon Shepherd of Rogers; wife, Monna Shepherd of Neosho, Missouri; three sons, Robert and wife, Joanna Shepherd of Neosho, Missouri, Keith and wife, Carrie Shepherd of Joplin, Missouri and Verl Jr. and wife, Caroline Shepherd of Neosho, Missouri; one daughter Melissa and spouse, Saundra Shepherd of Dewey, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four brothers, Kenny Shepherd of Rogers, William Shepherd of Pea Ridge, Mike Shepherd of Lowell and Tim Shepherd of Centerton; two sisters, Irene Kelley and Rita Shepherd both of Pea Ridge along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
