Vernon Leroy Shepard, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on September 14th, 2024. He was born July 11th, 1950, to the late, Lyle and Wanda Shepard. Vernon had a passion for gardening. He spent many peaceful nights tending to his flowers, which bloomed vibrantly under his care. Roses were one of his favorites, often, he would cut them and bring them inside to share with his wife, Chieu. He adored his family and took immense pride in spending time with his grandchildren, watching them grow into young adults. Vernon's faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was dedicated to reading the Bible, finding peace and guidance in its words.

His kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith left a mark on all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Vernon is survived by his wife Chieu Shepard, of the home; daughters, Irene Williams and husband, George, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lynda Simmons and husband, John, of Tontitown, Arkansas, and Marie Templeton, and husband, Randy, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Madeline Medlock, Max Simmons, Sophie Simmons, Bekah Simmons, Wyatt Templeton, Allison Tipton and husband, DeAndre; great-grandchild, Declan Tipton; brothers, Ken Shepard and wife, Deborah, of California, Dewayne Shepard and wife, Pam, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; and many other family, friends, and loved ones.
