Vertie Rue Thomas of Rogers, AR passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on October 11th, 2022. Vertie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, L.C. Thomas. Vertie is survived by her children Sharon Lovell (Jerry) of Rogers and Lyle Thomas of Rogers. Grandchildren Cameron C. Rogers of the world but currently in South Korea, Cassie Schroeder (Andy) of Garfield, Jana Catherine Woodworth (Jason) of Little Rock, Cooper Thomas of Little Rock and Jessie Lovell of Rogers, Darah Thomas of Poteau, OK. Great Grandchildren Nora Rue and Camille June Schroeder of Garfield.

Vertie was born on June 4th, 1925 in Everton, AR to Maude Brown.

Vertie had many passions and talents. To name a few, she loved to attend Church, cook, sew & crochet and enjoyed tending to her flower garden. She was a compassionate soul that always loved to help others. Whether it be sewing baby quilts to donate or cooking a meal for a friend she loved to help. Most importantly her biggest passion was her family and all of her babies. There will be a private family service at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 17, 2022. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
