Veryla Jean Brewer, 82, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away on November 7, 2022 at the Highlands of Bella Vista. Veryla was born on March 28, 1940, in Bremer County, Iowa. She was the first of three children born to Veryl and Jean Johnson. She was blessed with the births of two sons; Donald DeWalle, Jr., born in 1958 and Mark DeWalle, born in 1959. Veryla and Charley Brewer were married in Bentonville, Arkansas on July 23,1994 and had celebrated their 29th anniversary at the time of her death. Veryla worked in the newspaper industry for almost 50 years, both in Iowa and Arkansas. She retired from Community Publishers after many years. In her retirement, she and Charley both enjoyes reading, attending antique and craft shows, and traveling. Veryla was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her husband; sons Donald, Jr. of Mason City , Iowa and Mark of Osage, Iowa; sister, Sharon (Jim) Zenor of Ames, Iowa; and brother, Steven (Candace) Johnson of Houston, Texas; and four nieces and nephews. Veryla's family would like to thank Highlands of Bella Vista for the professional and compassionate care that she received while living at The Highlands.
