Wayne Martin Schoch Sr., 93, of Gravette, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Born on February 5, 1931, in Grafton, Nebraska, Wayne was a dedicated husband, father, and proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served with honor, attaining the rank of Sergeant.

Wayne's love story with his wife, Ruth Ballard Schoch, spanned 44 years, beginning with their joyful union on December 8, 1978, in Kansas City, Missouri. A man of many talents and passions, Wayne was deeply committed to his community, serving as a respected member of his local Masonic Lodge in his earlier years.

Among his many interests, Wayne had a meticulous passion for tending to his lawn, ensuring each blade of grass was meticulously cared for, and his garden flourished under his watchful eye. Fond memories of his service as an auxiliary law enforcement officer were evoked as he listened to police scanners, reminiscing about his days of camaraderie with his "brothers in blue."

A devoted family man, Wayne prioritized being present for his loved ones, despite his demanding career at Ford Motor Co., where he excelled as a zone manager in the tractor division, traveling extensively but always making time for his family. Whether cheering on his children at swim meets, supporting them in choir performances, or attending their soccer and track events, Wayne's unwavering presence brought comfort and pride to his family.

In addition to his remarkable dedication to his family and community, Wayne leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Olive Martin Schoch, and his sister, Maxine Lischawski.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Schoch; his children, Wayne Schoch Jr. and his wife Deanie of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Alisa Zangari of Green Forest, Arkansas, and Waynette Brunkhorst and her husband Paige of Richmond, Texas; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Avery Schoch and Michael Detter.

A man of integrity, kindness, and unwavering devotion, Wayne touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
