Wendell Pierce, age 82, a resident of Gentry, passed away at his home on Monday, March 5, 2012. Wendell Pierce, age 82, a resident of Gentry, passed away at his home on Monday, March 5, 2012. Wendell was born in Oklahoma on January 25, 1930 to Roy and Roxie (Maine) Pierce. On March 30, 1957 he married Twila (Allen) Pierce and they would have been married 55 years this March. Wendell served his country in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge. He worked as a Quality Assurance Inspector for the federal government and he enjoyed spending time with his family and he will be missed very much. Preceded in death by his parents; two sons; one brother and one sister; Wendell is survived by his wife, Twila of the home; one son, Ron Pierce of Gentry; one daughter, DeAnna Whiteside and husband David of Texas; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
