In Memory of William Eugene "Gene" Jones William Eugene "Gene" Jones of Crosses, AR passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 in Fayetteville, AR at the age of 79. He was born on November 8, 1941 in Arkadelphia, AR, the son of James Earnest Jones and Linda Ernestine Taylor Jones. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Army for six years. He retired from Southwestern Bell telephone company in 2002. Gene loved his family and always made sure they were well taken care of. He was a Master Falconer and could frequently be found outdoors where he loved being surrounded by nature. He also loved all kinds of music and you would usually hear it playing in his home. Probably his greatest joy, second only to his family, was his love of Harley Davidson motorcycles on which he traveled all around the country. He was well loved by friends and family and will be greatly missed. Gene was preceded in death by his parents: James Earnest Jones and Linda Ernestine Taylor Jones and his brother, John Howard Jones. He is survived by his wife, Krystyna Margareta Kieszkowski Jones, Children: William Lawrence Jones, Marlisa Kay Jones Layton, and Raymond Forrest Jones, Siblings: James Taylor Jones, Virginia Ruthe Jones Crawford, Marcia Jane Jones Shepherd, Elizabeth Oscaranna Jones Allison, and James Earnest Jones Jr, 4 Grandchildren, and 1 Great-grandchild Due to current circumstances a funeral service will not be held at this time. A Memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be sent to The National Multiple Sclerosis society at (nationalmssociety.org/Donate) in his honor.
